Job Summary
The Labor and Delivery Department is seeking a Registered Nurse for a position in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of 2 years of experience in labor and delivery nursing and possess current licensure and certifications. This role involves providing comprehensive, patient-centered care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods, ensuring safety, comfort, and positive patient outcomes.

Job Details

• Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid PA Registered Nurse (RN) license; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; PA Act 31, PA Act 33, PA Act 34, and PA Act 73 clearances; 2 years of experience in labor and delivery or related specialty; Location in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Additional Information: The role involves performing nursing duties in accordance with system-wide competencies and behaviors. Responsibilities include participating in quality improvement efforts, utilizing research and evidence-based practices, applying relationship-based care principles, and fostering patient and team partnerships. The nurse will provide education to patients and families, develop collaborative relationships, and respond proactively to safety hazards and workplace needs. Flexibility and adaptability are essential to this position.
