Registered Nurse / Telemetry

Job Summary:
A telemetry registered nurse (RN) position is available in Wichita, Kansas. This is a travel assignment in an intermediate care unit, requiring candidates to bring their license on the first day. The role involves delivering patient care during night shifts and supports a fast-paced clinical environment with a focus on critical thinking.

Job Details:

• Location: Wichita, Kansas
• Shift Schedule: Nights, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); minimum 1-year current acute care hospital telemetry experience; valid nursing license; location requirements include Kansas; no minimum years of experience required beyond the stated 1 year for qualification purposes
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior Meditech electronic medical record (EMR) experience; NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Float: Float rotation may be required
• Additional Information: The unit has patient ratios of approximately 1:6, with 1:4 for Heart Catheterization patients. Equipment used includes PCA pumps, IV pumps, and chest tubes. Typical procedures performed include central lines, medication drips, Heart Catheterization recovery, and bubble studies. The staff is experienced, and the environment is designed to attract professionals with a positive attitude, engagement, independence, and strong critical thinking skills.
