Job Summary
Operating Room Nurse San Antonio, Texas. This position involves providing comprehensive circulating nursing care within the surgical specialty. The nurse must demonstrate independence, clinical expertise, and the ability to manage complex surgical cases across multiple specialties, including ENT, Ophthalmology, Podiatry, Gynecology, and Plastic Surgery. The role requires adherence to clinical protocols, coordination of patient care, and collaboration with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Job Details
- Schedule: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday; schedule may vary each day based on case start times. Minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (preferred), one year of experience in the relevant nursing specialty (preferred), RN License in the state of Texas or a compact license. BLS certification (American Heart Association) required.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience circulating surgical specialties including ENT, Ophthalmology, Podiatry, Gynecology, and Plastic Surgery.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: The position involves working in an environment where independent clinical judgment and the ability to develop long-term patient care plans are essential. The nurse will be responsible for assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation, medication administration, patient education, and documentation.
