Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse in the Indiana region. This role involves caring for laboring patients, assisting with vaginal and cesarean deliveries, and providing couplet care. The position offers the opportunity to work across multiple locations within the healthcare organization, supporting a dynamic and fast-paced maternity unit.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 3 out of 4 weekends, with no call requirement.
- Required Qualifications: Indiana (IN) or compact registered nurse (RN) license, minimum 2 years of labor and delivery experience, circulating C-Sections experience, BLS through AHA, ACLS through AHA, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
- Preferred Qualifications: Not specified.
- Float: Traveler will float between two facilities based on staffing needs.
- Additional Information:
- Position involves providing care in a Labor and Delivery Department with approximately 16 labor, delivery, and recovery rooms at one location and 10 at the other.
- Typical nurse to patient ratio is 1:1, possibly 1:2 during early labor or induction, and 1:3 for couplet care.
- Utilizes EPIC Stork documentation, Centricity fetal monitoring, and Pyxis medication systems.
- The unit operates at Level II trauma facilities with a focus on labor and delivery.
