Job Summary:
The Labor and Delivery (L&D) specialty is located in Augusta, Georgia. This position involves providing specialized nursing care in the labor and delivery department, supporting mothers through childbirth and post-delivery recovery. The role requires a dedicated healthcare professional capable of responding to various obstetric and neonatal situations with clinical expertise and compassionate care.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Day shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated. RN - Registered Nurse (Single State) or RN - Multi-state Compact, BLS - Basic Life Support or American Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor, NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program or American Red Cross Neonatal Advanced Life Support or NRP-P - NRP-Provisional (180 Days), within 180 days, ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support or American Red Cross Advanced Life Support or ACLS-I - ACLS - Instructor or ACLS-P - ACLS-Provisional (180 Days) within 180 days. The candidate must have less than 1 year of clinical experience following completion of an accredited/approved school of nursing with required clinical hours.
- Preferred Qualifications: Ability to read, write, and speak English; proficiency in utilizing clinical technology and basic computer skills; strong interpersonal, collaborative, and customer service skills; capacity to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment and respond decisively and respectfully in emergencies; excellent time management skills; ability to practice evidence-based nursing and utilize critical thinking skills.
- Additional Information: The role involves providing direct patient care within the Labor and Delivery department, requiring adaptability and clinical competence in obstetric and neonatal emergencies. The position will commence on 08/24/2026, with availability after 09/12/2026.
