Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical With Telemetry

Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical with Telemetry at a healthcare facility in Reno, Nevada. This position involves providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced, Level II Trauma Center environment. The role requires delivering comprehensive nursing services to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, including those with complex cardiac and post-procedure conditions, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details:

• Location: Reno, Nevada, within a facility situated at 10101 Double R Blvd.
• Schedule: 3 nights per week, 12-hour night shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Nevada RN license, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certifications, minimum of 2 years of telemetry experience, passing a telemetry competency exam, prior travel experience of at least one 13-week assignment, and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in Level I trauma centers and familiarity with cardiac medication drips such as Cardizem, Lasix, and Nitro.
• Additional Information: Travelers may be required to float to other units including intensive care and medical-surgical units based on organizational needs. The role may involve working major holidays and some call shifts, with scheduling varying to meet departmental demands.
