Registered Nurse / Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular

Job Summary:
Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (ICU) registered nurse position located in Salt Lake City, Utah. This role involves providing specialized critical care for patients with cardiovascular conditions in a busy ICU environment. The nurse will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and collaborating with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Start date is 08/17/2026.
• Required Qualifications: Valid Utah Registered Nurse (RN) license at the time of submission; minimum of 2 years of ICU experience, with consideration given to candidates with at least 1 year of strong experience; experience in Cardiac Nursing.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with rapid sequence intubations, central line placements, ventilators, vasopressors, restraint use, arterial lines, bronchoscopy, and chest tube placement. Outgoing personality and team-oriented approach preferred.
• Additional Information: The unit has 24 beds with a staffing ratio of 1:2, expanding to 1:3 for pulmonary care unit (PCU) boarders and 1:1 or higher acuity for certain patients. Shift coverage may include float assignments to the PCU or inpatient hospital areas as needed. Documentation is managed via EPIC system. The unit requires scrubs in Caribbean Blue and values a team player with a caring attitude.
• Float: Float rotation may be required for PCU or as a sitter throughout the hospital.
