Job Summary:
Cleveland, Ohio The Operating Room First Assistant (ORFA) is responsible for providing intraoperative technical support under the supervision of the attending physician. The role involves assisting in surgical procedures, ensuring a safe perioperative environment, and demonstrating proficiency in advanced life support equipment. The position supports cardiac surgical cases and involves regional call coverage across the healthcare facility.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Certification in nursing, valid state license, ability to demonstrate proficiency in taking second call, knowledge of advanced life support equipment, high degree of hand/eye coordination, and at least 0 years of experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in cardiac surgery assisting is advantageous.
- Additional Information: The RNFA 1 works under the direction and supervision of the attending physician to assist with exposure, hemostasis, closure, and other intraoperative technical functions. They perform preoperative and postoperative duties to facilitate surgical patient care during the perioperative period, primarily assisting within cardiac surgical cases.
