Registered Nurse / Operating Room

Job Summary:
An Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) position is available in Lewiston, Maine. The role involves working in a busy surgical environment, including trauma, bariatrics, vascular, ENT, gynecology, neuro, and orthopedic procedures. The nurse will be responsible for providing perioperative care, supporting surgical teams, and ensuring patient safety throughout various surgical procedures.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: RN license, BLS certification, 2 years of experience in general operating room settings, including trauma and orthopedic procedures, and the ability to work a flexible schedule with weekend and weeknight call.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with robotic surgery systems, such as DaVinci, and familiarity with EPIC and Omnicell electronic health record systems.
• Additional Information: The position is for a contractor replacement in a Level III trauma center with 24/7 emergency care services. The unit features advanced equipment including robotics, microscopes, laser technology, and navigation systems for neurosurgery. Successful candidates will be expected to work weekend and weeknight call, support various surgical specialties, and maintain current certifications.
