Registered Nurse / Psychiatric Unit

Job Summary:
Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) position located in the psychiatric unit of a healthcare organization in St. Louis, MO. This role involves providing direct patient care to adult and geriatric patients with behavioral health needs, utilizing nursing assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The position emphasizes collaborative patient care coordination in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

• Shift: Nights, 3x12, 1900 - 0730
• Schedule: Nights, 3x12, 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Current RN License meeting licensure criteria in Missouri or current licensure in Missouri, BLS certification from the American Heart Association, 0+ years of experience with Behavioral Health/Psych, and a minimum of 1 year of nursing experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: None specified
• Float: Float rotation may be required within the Behavioral Health Unit.
• Additional Information: Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care, maintains patient rights and confidentiality, and coordinates care with other departments. Responsible for assessment, planning, and evaluation of patient care, including patients post trauma, surgical interventions, or with medical comorbidities. The work environment involves high-risk exposure to blood and body fluids, physical demands such as lifting up to 50 lbs., and may require different shift schedules based on patient care needs.
