Registered Nurse / Psychiatric Unit

Job Summary
Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) St. Louis, MO. This position involves providing patient care within a behavioral health unit for adult and geriatric patients with medical comorbidities. The RN will utilize the nursing process to deliver compassionate care, coordinate with other departments, and maintain patient rights and confidentiality.

Job Details

• Schedule: Days, 12-hour shifts from 07:00 AM to 07:30 PM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Current RN license in the state of Missouri or eligible for licensure in Missouri; BLS certification from the American Heart Association; 0+ years of nursing experience in behavioral health or psychiatry; location in Missouri or Missouri-based licensure.
• Preferred Qualifications: None specified.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The RN will perform direct patient care activities for adult and geriatric behavioral health patients, utilizing specialized equipment such as sit-to-stand lifts, Hoyer lifts, restraints, IVs, and Foley catheters. Responsibilities include evaluating the effectiveness of care, coordinating with ancillary departments, and ensuring compliance with applicable nursing standards, the Missouri Nurse Practice Act, and organizational values. Physical demands include standing and walking most of the time, bending, stooping, lifting up to 50 lbs, and high-risk exposure to blood and body fluids. The assignment begins on 08/17/2026 and lasts for 13 weeks, with every third weekend worked.
