Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse (L&D) Ottumwa, IA. This role involves providing specialized care in the Labor and Delivery Department at a regional healthcare facility. The position requires delivering patient-centered obstetric services during night shifts. Candidates must be adaptable to different units within the hospital to meet patient care needs.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), STABLE certifications; 1-2 years of nursing experience; must possess Iowa SING (Systematic Identification of Needs and Goals) Background Check (BG) clearance including criminal and child abuse checks; mandatory reporter certification (Child and Adult); 10-panel drug screen including opiates; titers within the last 12 months (MMR, Hep B, Varicella, TB); location in Iowa is required.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in obstetrics, labor and delivery procedures, and familiarity with electronic fetal monitoring systems.
  • Float: Float within the hospital to other units as needed.
  • Additional Information: The position is located at a regional healthcare facility providing comprehensive obstetric and neonatal services. The unit accommodates active labor patients with a 1:1 patient ratio and two-patient couples in the Labor and Delivery Department, equipped with electronic fetal monitoring systems.
