Registered Nurse / Operating Room Open Heart

Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Open Heart specialist position in Augusta, Georgia. This role involves supporting the organizations open-heart surgical program, with a focus on cardiovascular procedures. The position requires experienced circulating skills in open-heart surgeries and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Job Details

• Schedule: Days, 10:45am-9:45pm, four 10-hour shifts per week.
• Required Qualifications: All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated. ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) or ARC-ALS (American Red Cross Advanced Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support) or ARC-BLS, RN (Registered Nurse) license or RN - Multi-state Compact license.
• Additional Qualifications: At least one year of cardiovascular or specialized surgical experience, including CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) circulating experience. Previous travel experience supporting open-heart programs is preferred.
• Skills & Abilities: Knowledge of trends in cardiovascular surgery, critical thinking, prioritization of patient care, effective communication in English, organizational skills, and flexibility in work hours. Emergency call coverage is required including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
• Experience: No minimum experience specified, but candidates with 2-3 years of open-heart circulating experience are preferred.
• Notes: Support for the organizations open-heart program with prior travel experience in similar settings is desirable.
