Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse in Mountain Home, Idaho. This position involves providing care in a dedicated Womens Services unit within a healthcare facility. The role requires managing laboring patients, performing routine procedures, and supporting postpartum and newborn care, following established guidelines and best practices.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week, starting 08/10/2026
  • Required Qualifications: Certifications including BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, STABLE; minimum of two years of experience in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn Nursery; valid licensure to practice; experience with titration of oxytocin and mag; willingness to float to MedSurg when census allows; okay with first-time travelers.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with MedSurg and ability to float across units.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required, including tasking in MedSurg depending on census.
  • Additional Information: The assigned unit has a low census at times, with support from MedSurg staff. The facility enforces a 50-mile radius rule, and candidates permanent addresses must verify compliance before submission. The unit maintains adherence to AWHONN guidelines for patient ratios, with staffing supported by Charge RNs and available supervisors. The role involves caring for laboring patients, performing routine non-stress tests, and neonatal assessments, utilizing equipment like CPAP, with Tele/Monitor Tech support available if needed. The charting system in use is EPIC, with two days of orientation provided.
