Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical Oncology Floor

Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) Medical Surgical Oncology Floor Ukiah, CA. This position involves delivering patient-centered nursing care in a medical-surgical oncology setting. The role includes supervising nursing staff, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and providing education to patients and families, all in a community-focused healthcare environment.

Job Details:

• Location: 275 Hospital Drive, Ukiah, CA 95482
• Schedule: Rotating shift, 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Bachelor`s Degree in Nursing (BSN); RN licensure in the state of practice; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor; ONC/ONCC-CHIM certification; 2-3 years of clinical experience preferred
• Preferred Qualifications: Hospital or physicians office experience
• Essential Functions:
  • Collects relevant data pertinent to the patients health or situation
  • Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnosis and care needs
  • Develops and implements care plans, promoting patient safety and well-being
  • Coordinates care delivery and collaborates with team members
  • Evaluates progress and adjusts care plans accordingly
  • Provides patient and family education and prepares patients for procedures
  • Participates in discharge planning and other responsibilities as assigned
• Additional Information:
  • Must have ONS (Oncology Nursing Society) certification
  • Must have 2-3 years of relevant experience
  • No call requirement
