Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse is a registered nursing professional working in a maternity setting within the Iowa-based healthcare facility. The role involves collaborating with the healthcare team to deliver safe, evidence-based care to mothers and newborns. The Nurse directs support staff, performs general nursing duties with critical thinking, and accommodates a diverse patient population, including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
Job Details:
- Location: Pella, Iowa
- Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shift times, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited RN program; BSN preferred. Current Registration and Licensure in the State of Iowa as an RN. Must be in good standing with the Board of Nursing. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Heart Code BLS certification required, with certification obtained within three (3) months after hire. Current ACLS certification. Nursing experience in an acute care setting preferred. Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. High degree of empathetic listening skills, tact, and kindness toward others. Ability to communicate well verbally. Must work effectively as a member of a team. Basic computer knowledge and sound nursing judgment applicable to acute care.
- Additional Information: The role requires knowledge of nursing practices related to acute care and the ability to assess patients across various age groups during labor, delivery, and postpartum care.
