Registered Nurse / Step Down Unit

Job Summary:
Step Down Unit Nurse in Uniontown, Pennsylvania. This role involves providing specialized care to patients requiring intermediate-level treatment and monitoring. The ideal candidate will be experienced in managing complex patient conditions within a fast-paced hospital environment and comfortable with acuity levels typical of a Step Down setting.

Job Details:

• Shift: 12-hour nights, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification, NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certification, minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a Step Down or similar unit, Pennsylvania state nursing license.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with electronic medical records systems such as Cerner or Epic, strong ability to titrate drips including Cardizem, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Heparin.
• Additional Information: The role requires the ability to interpret cardiac strips, manage ventilators such as Bipap, Cpap, and High Flow, and work collaboratively with hospitalists and intensivists in a 24/7 hospital setting. Self-scheduling and block scheduling are supported to accommodate staffing needs.
