Registered Nurse / Post Anesthesia Care Unit

Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) in Philadelphia, PA. This role involves recovering patients from general and moderate sedation anesthesia, with a focus on providing high-quality post-operative care. The position offers a consistent day shift schedule and requires candidates with a minimum of 2 years of PACU and Intensive Care Unit (ICU) experience.

Job Details:

• Location: Philadelphia, PA
• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, bachelors degree in nursing or higher, 2+ years of PACU and ICU experience, current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications, experience with ICU skills, no call, weekends, or holidays required
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with recovery from general and moderate sedation anesthesia, ability to manage a patient volume of 30-50 cases daily, familiarity with pre-operative and post-operative patient assessments
• Additional Information: The role involves managing patient ratios of 3 to 1 in the Pre-Operative area and 2 to 1 in the Recovery area, including recovery from general and moderate sedation anesthesia. Candidates should be capable of handling all ICU skills needed for comprehensive patient care.
