Registered Nurse / Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

Job Summary:
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Nurse position located in Austin, Texas. This seasonal contract opportunity involves working night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with on-call requirements. The role is suitable for experienced RNs with a focus on neonatal care, providing an excellent chance to contribute to a specialized and highly regarded unit.

Job Details:

• Position: Registered Nurse (RN) Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
• Location: Austin, Texas
• Start Date: 08/17/2026
• Shift Time: Nights (7:00 PM 7:00 AM)
• Hours Per Week: Minimum of 36 hours
• Shift: Night shift only
• Number of Positions: 2 to 5
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, CPR certification (American Heart Association or equivalent), BLS certification, minimum 2 years of experience in Level 3 NICU, and the ability to work effectively during night shifts.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with NICU procedures, knowledge of neonatal equipment such as Medfusion pumps, Alaris, Giraffe Isolette, and GE monitors; friendly, outgoing, compassionate personality.
• Additional Information:
  • Unit staffing includes approximately 97 beds with a patient RN ratio of 3-4 patients per nurse.
  • Typical staff includes RNs and clerks during both day and night shifts.
  • Equipment utilized includes Medfusion pumps, Alaris, Giraffe Isolette, and GE monitors.
  • Dress code requires navy scrubs; no artificial nails or nail polish allowed.
  • The unit emphasizes friendly and compassionate personnel who are team-oriented and adaptable.
