Registered Nurse / Labor And Delivery Department

Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) position located in Austin, Texas. This contract role is scheduled for nights shift, offering a 12-hour shift schedule and a minimum of 36 hours per week. The role involves providing specialized care on a Level 4 maternal unit caring for the most complex obstetric patients. The position is ideal for candidates with experience in high-risk maternal care and a team-oriented approach.

Job Details:

• Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, experience with high-risk maternal patients, ability to circulate in operating room and triage, preferably with more than 5 years of relevant experience
• Preferred Qualifications: Additional experience with obstetric procedures such as vaginal and cesarean section deliveries, tubal ligations, cerclage placement and removal, D&C, C-hysterectomy, PASD cases
• Schedule: Nights from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, minimum 36 hours per week
• Additional Information: The unit is a Level 4 designated maternal center with 22 beds, including 16 labor beds. It has a very tenured staff and long-term leadership that is fully supportive. The facility is undergoing renovations to update all patient rooms, emphasizing a modernized care environment. The team is highly team-oriented, and the unit values multitasking, adaptability, and quick thinking in a fast-paced setting. On-call requirements are not specified.
