Registered Nurse / Telemetry

Job Summary:
Telemetry Nurse located in Austin, Texas. This contract position involves working 12-hour shifts at a busy healthcare facility, providing specialized patient care for telemetry units. The role offers an opportunity to contribute to patient monitoring and support in a dynamic clinical environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS); Education: Valid Nursing License; Experience: 0 years minimum; Location: Austin, Texas.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in medical-surgical or telemetry units; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support); TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course).
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The unit is equipped with Welch Allyn vital signs monitors and GE telemetry monitoring systems. Typical procedures performed include wound vacuum dressing changes, external fixation bracing, and use of CPM machines. The team is outgoing and team-oriented, with a focus on high-quality patient care. Dress code requires navy scrubs. The unit has received recognition awards including one ICARE Award and four Daisy Awards.
