Job Summary:
The organization is seeking an experienced registered nurse specializing in labor and delivery at a healthcare facility in Florence, Alabama. This position involves providing postpartum and obstetric care within a dedicated labor and delivery unit. The role requires adapting to a fast-paced environment, with a focus on patient safety and quality care during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) with a minimum of 48 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license, minimum of 3 years of labor and delivery experience, certifications including ACLS or ALS-OB, NRP, EFM, and BLS. Location requirements are within the United States, Alabama.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with fetal monitoring and assessment, emergency response, postpartum care, and time management.
• Additional Information:
  • Unit features 9 beds with a 1:1 patient nurse ratio.
  • Equipment includes electronic fetal monitoring devices.
  • Responsibilities encompass managing cases such as normal spontaneous labor, preterm labor, gestational hypertension, and postpartum hemorrhage.
  • Candidate personality traits include adaptability, team orientation, attention to detail, stamina, strong communication skills, and empathy.
