Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical Oncology Floor

Job Summary:
The medical surgical oncology floor nurse position is based in Seattle, Washington. This role involves providing specialized care for adult and geriatric patients with leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, and other hematology/oncology conditions. The position requires collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to deliver evidence-based care in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of recent oncology experience, certifications including Basic Life Support (BLS), Oncology Nursing Certification (ONCC), and Chemo Certification. Candidates with experience managing ports, chemotherapy administration, and related procedures are preferred.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with chest tube setup, CPAP/BiPAP, sedation procedures, wound care, and intravenous therapy.
  • Additional Information: Staff will care for adult and geriatric medical surgical oncology patients, supporting clinical trials, CART therapies, and stem cell transplants. Floating to similar units such as Medical-Surgical may be required to meet staffing needs. A 24-hour orientation is provided prior to assignment.
  • Certifications: BLS, Chemo (ONCC/ONS).
  • Special Procedures/Unit Details: Skills in managing ports, administering chemotherapy, handling tumor lysis syndrome, and managing side effects are essential. Candidates must pass a clinical skills screening to be considered.
  • References: Two references covering one year (six months for CNAs) within the last three years are required prior to start.
