Registered Nurse / Operating Room

Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Nurse in Sonora, California. This role involves delivering specialized nursing care within the operating room environment, ensuring patient safety and care coordination, and assisting with surgical procedures, all while supervising and directing various levels of nursing staff. The position requires collaboration with the healthcare team to create a safe and effective perioperative environment.

Job Details:

• Location: Sonora, CA
• Shift Schedule: Evenings, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN) | Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice | Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor | ; 0 years of experience required
• Preferred Qualifications: Hospital or physicians office experience
• Essential Functions:
  • Delivers coordinated perioperative nursing care for surgical patients based on established standards of care and the nursing process
  • Supervises and directs nursing staff activities, ensuring proper care in the operating room setting
  • Prepares patient, room, and surgical equipment, and assists physicians with procedures
  • Implements, coordinates, and evaluates patient care plans to promote safety and health
  • Collaborates with the healthcare team, patients, and families to ensure continuity of care and patient education
  • Performs additional procedures as directed and participates in discharge planning
  • Coordinates duties of healthcare team members and ensures compliance with safety protocols
