Registered Nurse / Emergency Room

Job Summary:
Emergency Room RN (Registered Nurse) Johnstown, Pennsylvania. This position involves providing urgent and critical nursing care in a Level 1 Trauma Center emergency department. The role requires active engagement in fast-paced environments, ensuring patient safety and adherence to clinical protocols.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Shifts vary, upon interview the director will inquire about travelers shift preference.
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN licensure, active ACLS and PALS certifications, minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, Pennsylvania state licensing, clear background checks including Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance, FBI fingerprinting within the last two years or willing to complete new fingerprinting, and successful completion of a PA State Police Clearance.
• Preferred Qualifications: Trauma experience, critical care experience, knowledge of emergency nursing protocols, and experience with EPIC electronic health records.
• Float: No.
• Additional Information: Candidates must have all Pennsylvania clearances and drug screen completed within 90 days; declinations are not accepted for MMR immunization. The department handles all patient populations with a patient ratio of 1:6 and is equipped with essential emergency department equipment. Orientation is weekly, on Mondays.
