Registered Nurse / Emergency Room

Job Summary:
Emergency Room Registered Nurse position in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. This role involves providing critical nursing care in a Level 1 Trauma Center Emergency Department. The candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care across a diverse patient population, with shifts varying based on facility needs and preferences.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Shifts vary, with a weekly guarantee of 36 hours, primarily during daytime hours.
• Required Qualifications: Pennsylvania nursing license; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support); PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support); basic nursing skills; minimum of 1 year of experience; ability to work in a fast-paced emergency environment.
• Preferred Qualifications: Critical care or trauma nursing experience; certification as a Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN).
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: Must complete all screening requirements prior to start, including state and FBI fingerprint clearances, and PA State Police clearance. The unit has approximately 40 beds, with a patient ratio of 1:6. Prior experience in trauma and critical care is preferred but not required. The role is suited for team players committed to patient-centered care.
