Registered Nurse / Long Term Acute Care

Job Summary:
A Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) Registered Nurse (RN) is needed for a facility located in New Britain, Connecticut. This position involves working in a respiratory-focused environment with an emphasis on vent-dependent patients. The RN will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care within a specialized respiratory/vented patient unit, supporting various units including medical, rehabilitative, and respiratory care.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Day shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, 1-2 years of experience with respiratory or vent-dependent patients, prior travel experience preferred, proficiency in IV starts, drips, blood administration, EKGs, med titrations, glucose monitoring, wound vac changes, wound dressings, trach care, suctioning, straight catheter, foley care, port access, and central line dressings
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a respiratory/vented patient environment
• Float: Float rotation may be required based on weekly needs, but float is not mandatory for this position
• Additional Information: The RN will be responsible for performing both basic and complex patient care procedures according to unit protocols. Candidates should have a clean profile that reflects relevant respiratory patient experience.
