Registered Nurse / Telemetry

Job Summary:
Telemetry Nurse Salem, Massachusetts. This position involves providing specialized nursing care in a telemetry unit, with responsibilities including cardiac monitoring, interpreting telemetry strips, and administering cardiac drips. The role requires flexibility to float across multiple units and rotation shifts, supporting diverse patient populations.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Rotating shift with 12-hour shifts and a minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 08/16/2026.
• Required Qualifications: Valid Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license; American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; two years of acute care hospital experience in one location; two years of experience as a traveler.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with telemetry monitoring, reading cardiac strips, and administering cardiac drips; familiarity with EPIC electronic medical record system.
• Float: Float rotation may be required to cover eight different units throughout the hospital.
• Additional Information: The nurse will be responsible for cardiac monitoring, reading telemetry strips every four hours, and managing cardiac drips. The unit handles patients from the emergency department border, mental health medications, and transfer-ready ICU patients. The unit has a bed count of 371, with unit census ranging from 8 to 41 beds. Typical clinician-to-patient ratios are up to 5:1 during day and evening shifts, and up to 6:1 at night.
