Job Summary:
The healthcare professional is a Nurse Manager specializing in Operating Room and Surgical Services, based in the Manhasset area. This role involves overseeing cardiac surgery and transplant teams, managing high-acuity cases, and leading a dedicated nursing team. The position requires a highly experienced leader capable of ensuring quality patient care, regulatory compliance, and staff development within a busy surgical environment.

Job Details:

  • Shift: Days, with scheduled hours from 09:00 AM to 05:00 PM, Monday through Friday, or four 10-hour shifts during the week.
  • Schedule: 7.5 hours per day, 37.5 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Bachelor`s of Science Degree in Nursing; a Master`s Degree in Nursing is preferred. Current New York State Registered Nurse license. Minimum of 6-8 years of nursing experience, including at least 5 years of Operating Room experience (scrub and circulate), and 3 years of cardiac surgery and lung & heart transplant experience. Leadership or management experience ranging from 2 to 5 years is also required.
  • Preferred Qualifications: CNOR certification; experience in a quaternary care facility; Master`s Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Additional Information: The role involves managing and leading team members, overseeing operations, and maintaining a professional environment focused on high-quality, patient-centric care. The Nurse Manager will be responsible for the nursing practice, patient care delivery, resource management, and regulatory compliance during assigned shifts.
