Registered Nurse / Intensive Care Unit Burn

Job Summary:
The ICU Burn Specialty Registered Nurse (RN) position is based in Madison, Wisconsin. This role involves providing critical care to adult and pediatric patients with complex burn injuries and other critical conditions within a Level One Trauma Center and Wisconsins only ACS-verified Adult and Pediatric Burn Center. The RN will work on a 12-hour night shift schedule, supporting a multidisciplinary team in a collaborative environment to deliver compassionate patient care.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license or valid multi-state compact license, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification, at least 2 years of inpatient acute care experience within the last 3 years, ICU experience required, Epic electronic medical record system experience required, patient ratio experience with at least 3 patients, prior chest tube management, arterial line management, intubation and ventilator management, and familiarity with complex wound care preferred.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS*
• Additional Requirements: Traveler must pass telemetry interpretation exam with a minimum passing score of 80%, with up to two attempts; if unsuccessful twice, a cardiac interpretation review course must be submitted before a third attempt is granted.
• Location: 600 Highland Ave, Madison, WI 53792
• Experience: No minimum years of experience explicitly stated besides the required 2-year acute care experience in the last 3 years for inpatient RN travelers. An emphasis on ICU and burn care experience.
• Floating: Travelers are required to float as needed.
• Notes: Candidate must be comfortable working in a highly specialized burn ICU and providing care for diverse patient populations including adults and children with complex injuries and burns.
