Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical Rehabilitation Floor

Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Rehabilitation Floor Nurse working in an acute inpatient rehabilitation unit in Richmond, Virginia. This role involves providing patient care in a unit equipped with advanced medical equipment, supporting patients with diverse rehabilitation needs. The position is suitable for team-oriented individuals committed to delivering high-quality nursing care.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Day shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing, Virginia state licensure, and one year of nursing experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with medical-surgical nursing or telemetry, background in skilled nursing facilities, and familiarity with rehabilitation procedures.
• Additional Information: The unit serves a 44-bed inpatient rehabilitation facility with a staffing ratio of 5-6 patients per nurse and 10-15 patients per technician. Equipment used includes Hoyer lifts, IVs, PEGs, trachs, peritoneal dialysis (PD), and wound care tools. Clinical duties primarily involve medication administration and basic surgical care. The work environment emphasizes teamwork, positive attitude, and adherence to dress code of navy scrubs.
