Registered Nurse / Step Down Unit

Job Summary:
Step Down Unit Registered Nurse (RN) position in New London, New Hampshire. This role involves integrating collaborative care planning for individual patients and implementing nursing standards in the processes of care. Candidates must have current medical surgical and step down unit experience, along with proficiency in the EPIC electronic medical record system. The assignment requires adherence to patient ratios of no more than six to one, with support from Licensed Nursing Assistants, a Nurse Lead, and House Supervisor.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of recent experience in Step Down Units and Medical Surgical Nursing, current New Hampshire registered nurse license or Compact license, active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications, and proficiency with EPIC EMR system.
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous travel experience is preferred.
• Additional Information:
  • Effective immediately, applicants must include their New Hampshire Temporary Health Care Service Agency license/registration certificate with their submission.
  • No block scheduling or 48-hour guarantee times are available.
  • RTO requests must be noted at submission, with no more than five days of time off accepted.
  • Local travelers are not eligible for this need.
  • Candidate must have their own vehicle and include their permanent address in their profile.
  • All scheduling requests must be made at the time of submission; requests after offer may lead to rescinding the offer.
  • Candidate must have a current skills checklist for Medical Surgical and Step Down/PCU, supervisor signed reference from within the past two years, and active BLS and ACLS certifications.
