Operating Room Tech / Labor And Delivery Department

Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse in Spokane, Washington. This position involves providing specialized care for patients during antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods. Responsible for assisting during vaginal deliveries, C-sections, emergent discharges, and unplanned hysterectomies in a busy Level 3 trauma center with a high volume of deliveries.

Job Details:

• Location: Spokane, Washington 800 WEST FIFTH AVENUE, ZIP 99204
• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Virginia State licensure (in hand or proof of application made 6+ weeks ago), BLS certification, CST certification, 1 year of experience in Labor and Delivery, experience with high and low risk antepartum, intrapartum, C-sections, emergent discharges, post-delivery tubal ligations, unplanned hysterectomies, assisting after vaginal delivery, setting up delivery tables, and stocking rooms.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience assisting with vaginal deliveries and working in a high-volume, level 3 trauma center setting.
• Additional Information:
  • No floating required.
  • No weekend rotation, but every other weekend is scheduled.
  • On-call responsibilities are not part of this role.
  • Scrub color provided by the hospital is dark blue.
  • The facility has 388 beds, including 12 labor/delivery beds, with 3 operating rooms and 2 OB emergency rooms.
  • Expected patient volume of approximately 150-175 deliveries per month.
