Registered Nurse / Progressive Care Unit

Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) registered nurse (RN) position located in Des Moines, Iowa. This role involves delivering high-quality patient care, supervising nursing staff, and implementing individualized care plans. The RN will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safety and excellent patient outcomes within a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, valid ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification (CIRH ONLY), a minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience, and relevant certifications and education as specified.
• Preferred Qualifications: Not specified.
• Additional Information: Performs nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission, collaborates on patient care plans, documents all patient interactions accurately, and participates in discharge planning and patient teaching. Provides leadership and supervision to ancillary staff, ensures safety protocols are followed, and contributes to team-building activities to promote a positive work environment. Assumes charge responsibilities as appropriate and actively seeks professional development opportunities.
