Registered Nurse / Long Term Care

Job Summary:
Long Term Care (LTC) Nurse located in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. This role involves providing nursing care in a nursing home setting attached to a hospital, serving a primarily elderly population with conditions such as dementia, frailty, and rehabilitation needs. The position requires clinical proficiency in assessments, charting, medication administration, and skills including IV therapy, catheter management, and ostomy care.

Job Details:

• Shift: Days, 12-hour shifts, with every other weekend and holiday requirements, scheduled from 10:30 AM to 11:00 PM.
• Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours.
• Required Qualifications: BLS (AHA); minimum of 1 year of nursing experience; Licenses to Submit; located within 80 miles of the facility.
• Responsibilities: Charting, assessments, charge duties, medication administration, and performing clinical skills such as IVs, catheters, stomies, etc.
• Staffing & Scheduling: Block schedule with 4 nurses and 7 aides during day/pm shifts; 2 nurses and 3-4 aides at night.
• Additional Information:
  • Interdisciplinary team includes therapy, administration, social workers, activities, dietary, and housekeeping staff.
  • RT staff are on-site 24/7.
  • Pharmacy services are on-site with an medication dispensing system.
  • Float rotation may be required.
  • Dress code is any solid color, clean, and professional.
  • The unit staff includes a DON/Charge Nurse/House Supervisor, with physician availability after hours.
  • Clinicians must clock in and out at the facility.
  • Previous experience with Marshfield within the past 6 months is not acceptable.
