Registered Nurse / Telemetry

Job Summary
Telemetry Nurse Night Shift Iron Mountain, Michigan. This acute care position involves providing specialized telemetry nursing care in a high-volume facility with a focus on patient safety and quality outcomes. The role requires a dedicated professional capable of managing complex patient conditions and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care.

Job Details

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM 7:00 AM), minimum of 48 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid license to practice as a registered nurse; BLS (American Heart Association) certification; at least 1 year of acute care experience including telemetry; current residence within 80 miles of the facility.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with TURPS-CBI; background in Critical Access or Trauma Level 3 or 4 settings; prior telemedicine or telemetry experience.
• Additional Information:
  • Unit notes: Responsible for adult telemetry patients with a variety of diagnoses such as arrhythmias, sepsis, and post-surgical care.
  • Nurse to patient ratio: 5:1 during day shifts, 6:1 at night.
  • Floating to like units is mandatory.
  • Orientation involves computer training followed by shadowing, then independent practice after the second day.
  • Must be comfortable with IV starts and reading telemetric arrhythmia strips.
  • Call, standby, and holiday rotations are included.
