Registered Nurse / Long Term Care

Job Summary:
Long Term Care (LTC) Nurse - Nights in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. This role involves providing care in a nursing home attached to a hospital, serving predominantly elderly residents with diagnoses such as dementia, frailty, and rehabilitation needs. The position entails assessments, charting, charge duties, medication administration, and clinical skills including IVs, catheters, and ostomies.

Job Details:

• Location: Beaver Dam, Wisconsin
• Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts, every other weekend and holiday
• Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours
• Start Date: 08/03/2026
• Required Qualifications: BLS (American Heart Association); local candidates living within 80 miles of the facility; nurses with at least 1 year of experience in long-term or elderly care.
• Preferred Qualifications: Elderly care experience, IV skills, ability to work in a team environment with interdisciplinary professionals including therapy, social workers, dietary, housekeeping, and RT on-site 24/7.
• Additional Information:
  • Charting, assessments, charge duties, medication administration, clinical skills like IVs, caths, ostomy management.
  • Shift includes 4 nurses and 7 aides during the day/late afternoon, 2 nurses and 3-4 aides at night.
  • Float rotation may be required.
  • Scrub dress code: any solid, clean, and professional attire.
  • Must note if the clinician has previously worked for Marshfield; if so, the prior end date must be at least 6 months before the submission date.
  • Clinicians must clock in and out at the facility.
  • No on-call requirement, no tele monitor techs on the unit, and RN reading strips is not required.
  • The facility utilizes a proprietary charting system and a medication dispensing system.
  • The organization has physician availability after hours and a well-rounded interdisciplinary team.
