Job Summary:
Medical Surgical with Telemetry Nurse in Marshfield, Wisconsin. This position involves providing acute care with telemetry monitoring on a rotating schedule. The role focuses on managing patients with diverse diagnoses such as orthopedic trauma, vascular issues, urological conditions, neuro-spine cases, and oncology. The position requires a compassionate and detail-oriented nurse capable of working in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

  • Certifications Required: Basic Life Support (American Heart Association)
  • Education Requirements & Experience: Valid nursing license with a minimum of 1 year of acute care nursing experience. No specific experience minimum required, but candidates should have at least 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Location Requirements: Candidates must reside within 80 miles of the facility.
  • Schedule: 12-hour evening shifts, rotating weekends and holidays, with shifts at 1100 to 2330 hours and a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Responsibilities include titrating drips such as Heparin, Nitroglycerin, Bivalirudin, Cardizem, and Insulin, following prescribed nomograms. RN staff will monitor telemetry screens via tech support but do not need to read strips.
  • Staffing & Operational Notes:
    • Charge nurses and house supervisors are present on all shifts and handle assignments.
    • Nursing Assistants are available during specified shifts, with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:8-10 during the day and 2 CNAs during evening shifts.
    • RT support is available; equipment includes CPAP, BIPAP, and High Flow Oxygen Therapy (no ventilators).
    • Orientation includes 1 day of computer training and 1-2 days of precepted floor orientation.
    • All clinicians must clock in and out at the facility.
    • This role involves float requirements across adult medical-surgical units.
    • Scrubs can be of any color, provided they are clean and professional.
    • The charting system used is Cerner.
  • Additional notes: No self-scheduling; shifts and rotations are scheduled based on staffing needs.
  • Start Date: 08/17/2026
