Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical With Telemetry

Job Summary:
The Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) registered nurse position is located in Marshfield, Wisconsin. This role involves providing care for adult patients with various diagnoses, including oncology/hematology, general medical conditions, and complex health issues. The RN will work in a busy acute care setting with a focus on telemetry monitoring and complex patient management.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, with shifts scheduled from 0700-1930 and 1100-2330, every other weekend, with no call required. The minimum hours per week are 48.
• Required Qualifications: BLS (AHA) certification; minimum of 1 year of acute care experience; valid license to submit; located within 80 miles of the facility.
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior travel experience preferred.
• Float: First to float, within medical-surgical units.
• Additional Information: The unit has a patient-to-nurse ratio of approximately 1:4-5 during day/evening shifts and 1:6 at night. Nurses are expected to manage and titrate drips including insulin, heparin, cardizem, nitro, amiodarone, and octreotide, and to be aware of basic rhythm interpretation. The charge nurse and house supervisor oversee patient assignments, with some travelers possibly asked to step into charge nurse roles if comfortable. A one-day orientation will be provided, including computer training and a clinical shift.
