Operating Room Tech / Operating Room Open Heart

Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Cardiovascular (CV) Open Heart technician position in Fargo, North Dakota. This role involves assisting with surgical procedures focused on open heart, thoracic, vascular, and robotic surgeries within a large hospital setting. The technician will support the surgical team by performing assigned duties according to established policies and procedures in a high-acuity environment.

Job Details

• Location: Fargo, North Dakota
• Schedule: 10-hour shifts, with the possibility of staying late as needed to assist scheduled cases. Clinicians are expected to work 1 to 2 shifts per week and every 4th or 5th weekend.
• Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years Cardiac Vascular Operating Room (CVOR) experience
  • BLS (American Heart Association) certification
  • Unlicensed Assistive Personnel (UAP); proof of application within 3 business days of acceptance
  • Experience working in large hospitals (250+ beds) and level 2 or higher trauma or surgical facilities
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience with Sanford Health or similar facilities with end dates at least 6 months before submission
• Additional Information:
  • Must float to other units/departments and potentially to other operating rooms to support scheduled cases when CV is slow
  • Scrub color provided as Ceil Blue
  • Clinicians must badge in and out at the facility
  • The position starts on 08/17/2026, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
