Registered Nurse / Long Term Care

Job Summary:
Long Term Care Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) position is available in a care setting specializing in post-acute care, including memory care, dementia, and orthopedics. The role involves working night shifts in a facility with a 42-bed capacity, providing care primarily during nights with a schedule of 8- or 12-hour shifts. The position offers opportunities to work in a dynamic environment focused on delivering quality resident care.

Job Details:

• Location: Canton, South Dakota
• Schedule: Night shifts; 12-hour shifts; primarily 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM; minimum of 36 hours per week; every other weekend and holiday
• Required Qualifications: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure; BLS Certification; minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; ability to submit licensure documentation; no minimum experience required for the initial application submission
• Preferred Qualifications: None specified
• Additional Information:
  • No on-call or call-back service available or billable
  • Backouts & quits with less than 14-days notice incur a fee
  • No behavioral risks currently; diagnosis range includes LTC, memory care, dementia, and ortho patients
  • Common diagnosis and patient types include residents with memory impairments and orthopedic needs
  • Orientation includes building walk-through, lifts, and PPE training, approximately 2-4 hours
  • EMR: Point Click Care (PCC)
  • Location-specific orientation required
  • Items of note: Local rates apply within 80 miles or if using hospital housing; no charge differential at facilities; no on-call or billable callbacks are available
