Job Summary:
The healthcare professional specializing in Medical Surgical Rehabilitation (MS REHAB) will provide expert clinical care on a rehab-focused unit within a healthcare facility located in Napa, California. This role involves managing adult and geriatric patient populations with neurological, orthopedic, and multi-trauma diagnoses, supporting patient recovery through specialized interventions. The position starts on 08/10/2026 and involves working in a dynamic environment committed to patient-centered care.

Job Details:

  • Shift: 8-hour days, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid California license, two years of clinical experience including adult and geriatric patient care, familiarity with Epic charting system, BLS certification, and at least one year of relevant rehabilitation experience
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with acute inpatient rehab, acute rehab hospitals, and patients with neurological or orthopedic conditions
  • Float: Float rotation may be required within the hospital or to nearby affiliate facilities depending on patient census
  • Schedule: Days, 8 hours per shift, minimum 40 hours per week
  • Holidays: Willing to work 2 out of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
  • Patient Age Groups: Adults, Geriatrics
  • Daily Census: 10 patients
  • Number of Rooms: 7
  • Number of Beds: 14
  • Additional Unit Information: Patients participate in approximately 3 hours of therapy daily involving physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language pathology depending on diagnosis. Providers will manage patients with diagnoses such as stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, orthopedic conditions, pulmonary conditions, amputations, and multi-trauma.
  • Special Equipment: Golvo Sera SteadyRoll
  • Specific Requirements: Valid California license in hand, references covering 1 year (6 months for CNAs) in the last 3 years, willingness to float, and eligibility to work in the Napa, California area within a 50-mile radius.
  • Travel and Orientation: Orientation hours totaling 40, with documentation of certifications and charting experience in Epic.
  • Additional Notes: The candidate should be prepared to work some major holidays, and will be expected to comply with the return staff policy of three months.
