Registered Nurse / Operating Room

Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Nurse in Athens, Texas. This position involves providing perioperative patient care in a busy surgical environment, supporting various surgical specialties including Orthopedic, General, Neurology, Vascular, and Urology. The role requires collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure efficient and safe surgical procedures.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS); experience with charting systems, specifically Epic; minimum of 2 years of OR experience in Orthopedic, General, Neuro, Vascular, or Urology surgeries; Texas or Compact license in hand at time of submittal.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Da Vinci Robots, endovascular procedures, or eye surgeries is a plus.
• Patient Ratios: 1 patient per nurse during day shifts.
• Additional Information: Shift hours are 06:30-15:00 with a rotating day off; minimal call requirements (1-2 shifts every 6 weeks); the daily census is approximately 45 patients; facility supports adolescents, adults, and geriatrics; 14 beds and rooms available; excellent interdisciplinary support available for complex procedures. The role involves assisting with a variety of advanced surgical procedures in a high-volume setting. Compliance and onboarding requirements include completing core items and labs within 48 hours of contract signing.
