Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical Floor

Job Summary
This Medical Surgical Floor (MS) position is located in Charleston, South Carolina, within a busy hospital setting. The role involves providing patient care on a fast-paced medical-surgical unit that is renowned for teamwork and excellent patient outcomes. The unit is focused on delivering comprehensive and compassionate care to post-operative and medical-surgical patients, ensuring safe discharge and recovery.

Job Details

• Location: Charleston, SC
• Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, with a start date of 08/17/2026
• Required Qualifications: Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), high school diploma or equivalent, eligible to work in the United States, no minimum years of experience required
• Preferences: Great communication skills, team-oriented approach, proficiency in procedures such as wound care, intravenous (IV) insertion, and trach care
• Responsibilities: Wound care, input/output assessments, trach care, collaborating in a team environment, following unit-specific policies and guidelines, participating in frequent huddles, utilizing iPhone communication tools
• Additional Information: This unit maintains a focus on infection control and patient safety, regularly recognizes outstanding teamwork, and incorporates new equipment and technology to support high-quality care. The team is experienced and supportive, with a reputation for handling complex patient dispositions efficiently.
