Job Summary:
Emergency Room Registered Nurse in Massachusetts. This position involves delivering patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The nurse will administer and monitor patient responses to medications, direct and guide patient care activities, and maintain high standards of professional nursing practices within hospital policies.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; 2 years recent emergency room RN experience; at least 1 year emergency travel experience; current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Massachusetts; Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification; demonstrated skills in IV administration, IV starts, ventilator care, and telemetry monitoring; read, write, and communicate fluently in English.
- Preferred Qualifications: Completion of an approved de-escalation Certification Course; Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC); Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC); Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
- Additional Information: The nurse will have the opportunity to participate in staff meetings, educational programs, and quality improvement activities. The role requires proficiency in computerized nursing informatics and demonstrates leadership as a charge nurse when necessary. The position involves providing service excellence to patients, families, and colleagues.
