Registered Nurse / Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

Job Summary

The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Nurse position is based in Renton, Washington. The role involves providing specialized care to extremely premature and premature patients, with a focus on high-acuity neonatal patients. The position requires expertise in using advanced ventilator equipment and monitoring technology within a 20-bed unit and offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Job Details

  • Location: Renton, Washington
  • Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications; 2+ years of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) experience; ability to care for gestations down to 32 weeks or greater than 1500 grams; experience with NC, HFNC, CPAP, NAVA, conventional ventilation equipment, feeding pumps; experience with titrating drips including blood pressure medications, TPN/D10, and insulin
  • Shift Details: 1900-0730 shifts; 3 shifts per week; 4-week schedule
  • Additional Information: No nurse aides on unit; Neonatologist available 24/7; ability to float to pediatric units; unit uses EPIC charting system; scrub color is royal blue; orientation consists of 1-2 shifts; possible weekend and holiday duties; standby or call requirements may be assigned as needed; no BSN required; no specific experience minimum beyond the required NICU experience.
