Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical Oncology Floor

Job Description

Job Summary:
Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical Oncology Floor - Neptune, NJ. This role involves evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care in an oncology setting. The RN will plan, implement, and document nursing care based on patient needs, develop individualized care plans, perform therapeutic interventions, and advocate for evidence-based practice standards in line with professional nursing practice models.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights shift, 7:00 PM 7:30 AM, 3 x 12-hour shifts per week, with weekends and holidays required as needed, and floating as required.
  • Required Qualifications: Certified Registered Nurse in New Jersey or holding a multi-state license, ASN (Associate of Science in Nursing) degree, at least 2 years of experience in acute adult oncology, specializing in leukemia and lymphoma, inpatient setting, with skills including IV insertion, phlebotomy, and basic nursing skills. Certifications required include Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Chemo Certification with Oncology Nursing Society (ONS).
  • Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), telemetry certification, additional chemo certification with ONS.
  • Additional Information: This position requires delivering patient-centric care, managing care of oncology patients, and supporting evidence-based practices. The start date is planned for 08/24/2026, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
