Job Summary
Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery (L&D) in Oregon City, Oregon. This position involves providing high-quality patient care within the Labor and Delivery Department of a short-term acute care facility. The role includes working night shifts and requires flexibility in float assignments between units.
Job Details
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid Oregon Licensed Registered Nurse license, at least 1 year of clinical experience in Labor and Delivery, Certifications in BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), and current certification in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP). Experience with electronic charting systems, specifically Epic, and working in a community hospital setting.
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in a Level I Trauma facility, experience with interdisciplinary support teams, and proven ability to work effectively in high-acuity environments.
- Float: Float rotation may be required between units based on staffing needs.
- On-Call and Weekend Requirements: On-call shifts may be scheduled once every two weeks during low census periods. Every other weekend coverage is required.
- Additional Information: Candidates must be willing to work three of the five major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, New Years Day). All scheduling requests and time off must be submitted upfront during the application process, as post-offer requests may not be considered. Candidates should have current and valid licensure, be in good standing, and be prepared to meet facility-specific requirements.
