Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical Floor

Job Summary:
The healthcare organization is seeking a Medical Surgical RN for a unit in Rome, New York. This position involves providing patient care on a step-down unit with adult and geriatric populations. The role requires delivering high-quality nursing services during night shifts, with a focus on patient safety and individualized care.

Job Details:

• Shift: Nights, from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license, 1-2 years of experience in step-down or telemetry units, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), and NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certifications, experience with EMR systems Paragon and Pxyis, and located within commuting distance of Rome, NY
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience on step-down or telemetry units, strong clinical skills in adult and geriatric care
• Additional Information: The role involves managing a patient ratio of 6:1, focusing on adult and geriatric patient populations in a fast-paced environment. Precise adherence to facility protocols and safety standards is essential for success.
