Registered Nurse / Labor And Delivery Department

Job Summary:
The healthcare organization is seeking a Labor and Delivery (L&D) registered nurse for a position located in Le Mars, Iowa. This role involves providing care predominantly in obstetrics with labor and delivery experience being essential. The nurse will also support medical-surgical duties when obstetric needs are minimal and may be assigned charge nurse shifts as required. The position offers 12-hour shifts during days, including weekday night shifts, weekend night shifts, and holiday coverage based on rotation.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, weekday night shifts, and weekend night shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN licensure in the state of Iowa, OB/Labor and Delivery experience, at least 3 years of nursing experience, and the ability to cover both obstetric and medical-surgical units.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience as a charge nurse and familiarity with obstetric emergency protocols.
• Additional Information: The role may require coverage for rotating holidays. Although there is no expectation for call, coverage rates are included should the need arise. The position is located at a Critical Access Hospital recognized as a Top 20 Critical Access Hospital nationally, known for quality care delivery.
